Client: The Ned Ludd Public House
Location: Nottingham, UK
Industry: Hospitality
Scope: Bar and interior surface refurbishment using 3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes

The Challenge

When new owners Adam and Amanda Cropper took over The Ned Ludd pub in Nottingham, they inherited a venue full of character—but with tired, dated surfaces that no longer matched their vision. The structure and layout were sound, but the worn bar and tables clashed with their industrial-chic design plans.

They needed a solution that was not only cost-effective and durable but also allowed for a fast transformation without interrupting daily operations. Hygiene was also a key consideration, as they wanted easy-to-clean surfaces for a high-traffic hospitality environment.

The Solution

InteriArt worked in collaboration with 3M to deliver a full surface refresh using 3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes, providing a premium look without the need for costly replacements.

We used:

  • VM-1694 (Metallic Cross Hairline) on vertical bar surfaces for a sleek, industrial aesthetic.
  • PC-1178 (Sand Copper) on horizontal surfaces to introduce a warm, textured contrast.

The DI-NOC application was completed in under a day by our team of 3M-endorsed installers, avoiding downtime and ensuring the pub remained operational throughout.

The Results

The transformation injected new life into the space, helping the owners realise their design vision without breaking the bank—or sending materials to landfill. The updated surfaces are durable, easy to maintain, and visually impactful.

“DI-NOC has quite simply transformed our bar. The finishes feel sumptuous and the installation was hassle-free!”
— Adam Cropper, Co-owner, The Ned Ludd

This project is a standout example of how DI-NOC can be used in hospitality settings to deliver rapid, stylish upgrades that are both sustainable and budget-friendly.
