The Challenge

Winkhaus UK was undergoing a complete office refurbishment and wanted to modernise their workspace without the disruption or expense of replacing built-in features. Key concerns included dated composite stud walls and large storage cupboards, which were in poor condition and no longer aligned with the company’s brand image. Replacing them would have been costly and impractical, so the team sought a creative yet cost-effective solution to update the look and feel of the space.

The Solution

InteriArt proposed using high-quality architectural vinyl to transform the space. Working with artwork supplied by Winkhaus’ in-house marketing team, we produced and installed custom wall wraps using MD5HA internal high-tack vinyl, frosted vinyl, and acrylics. These materials were ideal for adhering to the challenging surfaces of the stud walls and existing cupboards, allowing for a sleek, modern finish without the need for removal or replacement.

All works were completed ahead of a critical deadline — the scheduled visit of Winkhaus’ CEO on 13th June 2024.

The Process

Following an initial site visit in August 2023, the project was delivered in two phases: the first in January 2024, and the second completed in early June. The installation was straightforward, with no major logistical or structural challenges, and required no coordination with external contractors.

The Results

The refurbishment achieved a clean, contemporary aesthetic and has significantly improved the working environment for staff. The client was extremely pleased with the outcome — so much so that InteriArt has since returned for additional wall wrap installations and has also completed vehicle graphics for their Luton curtain sider van.

This project not only revitalised the space at a fraction of the cost of full replacements, but also demonstrated the versatility of architectural vinyl in delivering practical, sustainable, and impactful design solutions.
